When a remote user prints to a UniPrint printer from an application running within a VDI image, print jobs are compressed to much smaller PDF files, and redirected to the user’s locally attached printer or to a network printer. A rich-client user logs on to a desktop running on VDI Server. When the user prints to UniPrint printer, print data is compressed and a PDF print job is created. The print job is transferred back to the user’s workstation and routed to the appropriate locally attached printer or network printer.
