What’s New in UniPrint Server v6.0

The latest version release of UniPrint is UniPrint Server v6.0. This version has undergone a complete redesign, including a brand new interface, full AD integration, simple deployment and driver enhancements, all of which help to make printing a seamless process within the SbC environment.
New Features in UniPrint Server v6.0
Driver Updates Upgrades to the UniPrint printer driver have enhanced the rendering of print jobs and further reduced file sizes.
MSI Install Package With MSI, administrators can easily deploy UniPrint using Group Policy (GPO).
UniPrint Management Console The new UniPrint Management Console, which replaces the UniPrint Configurator, provides better functionality and navigation when configuring UniPrint settings.
E-mail Service UniPrint E-mail Service is now part of the core UniPrint Service and supports e-mail delivery from any SMTP server defined on the network. Additionally, the improved UniPrint driver provides users the option to supply extra delivery information when sending print jobs via e-mail.
UniPrint Service Changes to any UniPrint settings no longer require UniPrint Service to be restarted. When the UniPrint Service is stopped, the UniPrint print queue status is now set to Offline.
Group Policy Configuration Support Default printer properties for UniPrint can now be set using Group Policy in Active Directory.
Auto-recovery of Key UniPrint Folder Automatic recovery for the Email spool folder is now available should it be accidentally deleted.
Pass-Through Server Enabling this feature allows UniPrint to treat this Terminal/Citrix Server as a pass-through client, routing print jobs printed from another Terminal/Citrix Server that has UniPrint Server installed.
Unicode User Name Support UniPrint supports user names containing unicode characters.
User Context Login Script UniPrint Login Script that runs in each user session is now running in user context, providing better session management.
